Common Symptoms of Anxiety Disorder and How to Stop It
While we all experience some form of anxiety at one time or another, some suffer from extreme levels of anxiety that end up running the person’s life instead of the person having control over their anxiety. At normal levels, anxiety can help keep you safe by warning you when either a fight, flight or freeze response is required in a potentially dangerous situation. Anxiety can actually even help you perform better by helping you to stay focused so you can do your best.
On the other hand, there are times when anxiety has a way of interfering with daily life which can include your schoolwork, relationships or even how you socialize with other people. If you find that you can’t get through an average day without experiencing some level of anxiety then there is a good chance that you are displaying the symptoms of anxiety disorder. An anxiety disorder can make the sufferer feel very anxious most of the time, and this level of anxiety can last for extended periods of time and anxiety disorder symptoms can occur in nearly any situation. People all over the world suffer from this form of disorder, so you need not feel like you are alone when it comes to seeking treatment for anxiety disorder.
While anxiety is a common part of nearly every persons genetic and biochemical makeup, the things that trigger anxiety can vary from one person to another. Things in your environment or even a stressful situation like school, family problems or even a trauma can cause a form of anxiety attack. Some of the most common forms of anxiety disorders symptoms are as follows:
• Your genetics or a history of anxiety attacks in your family.
• An imbalance of the chemicals in your brain that are meant to regulate the feelings and physical reactions you have to any number of situations. This imbalance can alter your thoughts, emotions or behavior resulting in anxiety.
• Experiencing a stressful event such as a family breakup, bullying at school, abuse, a relationship breakup, family conflict or a death.
• Your personality can also put you at a higher risk of suffering from anxiety than others.
While anxiety disorders symptoms can vary from one person to another, it’s a good idea to take note of times when your anxiety may seem much more intense than normal. When you symptoms grow beyond your control it’s a good idea to enlist the help of a qualified professional. There are a wide range of methods for treating anxiety disorders so it may be a good idea to do some research on treatment methods before seeing your doctor. This way you will be able to determine which method is the best for curing you of your anxiety disorder once and for all.
