It is about the size of a Honda Civic on the outside and a Honda CRX on the inside. It seats two people in relative comfort. A video camera with night vision provides a 180-degree view of what’s behind you because the back window is really small. It’s expected that Aptera will do zero to 60 in under 10 seconds which is on par with the Civic and Toyota Yaris. It has a maximum speed of 90 mph. The Aptera 2e works with a 13-kilowatt-hour lithium ion battery. When plugged into a standard 110-volt, 10-ampere outlet and it’ll recharge overnight. For 220 volt 30-ampere outlet it requires only four hours. The battery will last for 100 miles with two people, 250 pounds of cargo, and the AC going full blast. The battery will also possess a useful life of six years.
