Car Dealers Business

Car Dealers all over the world take note.  There is a group of fourteen car dealerships in the UK that all work together to make sure that the automotive customer gets the car that he/she wants at the price and style desired.  How cool is that?  No where else do car dealers work so hard to meet customer satisfaction.  They are not doing us a favor by selling us a car, they seriously want our business, and they will go the extra mile, maybe even two, to make sure we get what we want, even if the car does not come off of their individual lots.

For example, a person can go into Oldham Motors thinking that they are interested in a Volvo.  They are wanting a station wagon with less than 50,000 miles on it,  they will need help making finance arrangements and they don’t have a great deal of money.  If the salesperson at Oldham does not have the car that the customer wants, he does not send that person packing.  Instead, he checks his links with the thirteen other members of Motorparks.Co.uk, and checks which dealer might have the type of car in their inventory that this customer wants.  Then the salesman and the other dealership makes arrangements to exchange information and pictures.  If the customer thinks this car sounds good, they go to the next step.

The two dealerships work together so that the customer can actually have the car delivered to the dealership nearest to them so that they can do a test drive.  This is the truest form of putting the customer first.  It helps to eliminate that old image of the “used car salesman” as being a fast talking crook who will say and do anything to sell you a lemon that will fall apart as soon as you drive it off the lot.

Other entrepreneurs in other types of businesses can take a lesson from these car dealers on how to do business.  There is still a chance that a consumer can actually trust the businessman.  With all that has happened in the world economy in the past two years, this is certainly a good thing and hopefully a role model for things to come in the business world.
